The Health Information Management (HIM) Campus Manager assists the Network HIM Directors by monitoring the day-to-day operations of the on-site HIM department activities.  The HIM Campus Manager keeps the Network HIM Directors apprised of any unexpected or difficult situations needing immediate attention by acting as a liaison with customers of the HIM department.  Assists the Network HIM Directors with capital and operational budgets, bench marketing, and scorecard data submission.  Ensures turnaround time and compliance of HIM functions to meet departmental and organizational goals by implementing efficient processes and assessing staff performance.

Description

This position ensure patients and families are greeted and scheduled by obtaining and/or verifying demographic/clinical/financial/insurance information in the process of registering patients for service delivery, which includes the entry of patient/guarantor information in the patient accounting system, and patient signatures are collect on all appropriate forms and the imaging/copying of registration documents.  The Patient Access Representative will ensure signed physician orders are obtained and processed along with online insurance eligibility/benefits verification conducted on designated cases with notification to patient/guarantor, collection of patient liabilities, and referring appropriate cases to financial counseling for follow up and consolation.

Description

The Patient Accounting Clerk prepares and submits billings to federal, state and commercial carriers in both electronic and hard copy media (including completion or attachment of forms required by carriers) for primary and secondary carriers on a daily basis; resolves issues with billing edits prohibiting submission to carriers including missing and/or late charges, re-coding by HIM, combining of accounts, forwarding appropriate documentation including medical reports, invoices and forms required by carrier; reports unusual, unresolved or significant billing issues to Supervisor on a weekly basis; compiles and completes requests for billing information for carrier mandated reporting and submits same within timeframe/deadline required by carrier.

The Pharmacist performs the daily functions of providing pharmaceuticals and Intravenous (IV) therapy with pre-established clinical monitoring of patients drug therapy. The Pharmacist performs supportive services including drug information, patient/staff teaching, filling employee prescriptions, Quality Assurance reviews and Drug Utilization reviews. The Pharmacist demonstrates the knowledge and skill to provide pharmaceuticals appropriate to the ages of patients served, including growth and development, assessment and interpretation of age specific data, treatments and communications. The Pharmacist routinely dispenses pharmaceuticals for infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.

Description

The Pharmacy Intern demonstrates the knowledge and skill to provide clinical interpretations and communications strategies appropriate to the ages of the patients served. The Pharmacy Intern routinely processes prescription orders for infants, children, adolescents, adults and patients of geriatric age; routinely communicates with adults only.
