Description
Manages a coordinated infection control process to reduce the risks of endemic and epidemic nosocomial infections in patients and healthcare workers. This individual works in an office environment. Work is of medium physical demand with prolonged sitting, standing, reaching, lifting, and bending. Visual acuity is required to work with computers. Ability to withstand high stress situations in completing demanding deadlines. Ability to work with frequent interruptions. Must be detail oriented.
Qualifications
Current Pennsylvania RN license or Bachelor degree in health related field (medical technology, microbiology). Certification in Infection Control from Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology is preferred. Ability to adapt to various systems and methods, communicate effectively, and maintain confidential information. Up to five (5) years experience in Infection Control.
Hours
Day shift; 7-1/2hr shifts (75hrs/bi-weekly)
